Rose Buds

Junior Garden Club 

The Nezperce Garden Club is dedicated to educating the youth in our community about ecology, floral design, flower shows and growing.  Our club has sponsored the only junior garden club in the State of Idaho and has registered the club with Garden Clubs of Idaho and National Garden Clubs. 

The Rose Buds have 16 members.

 

February 8, 2015 the  Rose Buds had a Bake Sale.


On January 20, 2015 members of the Rose Buds Junior Garden Club learned how to make 'Plant People' with Lorna and LeeAnn.

 

December 16, 2014 The Rose Buds Junior Garden Club had a Christmas Party/Gift Exchange. 


On December 6, 2014 members of the Rose Buds Junior Garden Club presented a Christmas wreath that they had made to Pauline Gile in appreciation for all that she has done for the club in the past year.  Pauline has donated educational items such as an oldtime flower press so that the club members could learn how to press flowers and make pressed flower cards and pictures.  Pauline has also donated her time to teach artistic design to the club members.  

Thank you Pauline for all your help in the past year, we greatly appreciate you.

On November 25, 2014 the Rose Buds Junior Garden Club made Christmas wreaths to present to people in the community.


On November 18, 2014 the Rose Buds Junior Garden adopted a tree in Lions Park to decorate for the towns Jingle Bell Fun Run and Food Drive.  The club members decided to decorate the tree as a fairy garden tree.


On October 16, 2014 some members of the Rose Buds Junior Garden Club attended the Fall Clearwater District in Moscow and had their picture taken with Garden Clubs of Idaho State President, Janet Peterson.  Left to right Lottie, Mary, Janet Peterson, Jacinta and Laurel.

In June of 2014 the Rose Buds Junior Garden Club of Nezperce, Idaho purchased a plaque to raise funds to build a pavilion in Memorial Park.


On January 21, 2014 two members of the Nezperce Garden Club taught the Rose Buds Junior Garden Club how to press flowers with a flower press then the students learned how to take the pressed flowers and to make their own bookmarks or cards.

 

The Rose Buds enjoyed a Christmas party and  gift exchange on December 17, 2013.  Afterwards Nezperce Garden Club members LeeAnn and Lorna taught the Rose Buds how to care for birds in the winter months.

The Rose Buds also made bird Christmas ornaments to put on their own Christmas trees.

 

On November 19, 2013 the Rose Buds Junior Garden Club members made their own Christmas wreaths.  They also made one for the Nezperce Senior Center. 


Nezperce Garden Club member LeeAnn taught the Rose Buds how to dry flowers to make a dried flower arrangement on October 15, 2013.  Afterwards Nezperce Garden Club members Lorna and LeeAnn showed the Rose Buds how to make a tea cups flower arrangement design.

 

On September 17, 2013 Joyce DiGiovanni taught Rose Buds the art of Flower Show Design in time for the Lewis county Fair.


In June the Rose Buds did a mass planting of flowers at Memorial Field in Nezperce.
